[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_02]: You're listening to Inclusive AF with Jackie Clayton and Katie Benhoard.

[00:00:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Jackie, I got one question for you today.

[00:00:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. Do you understand the assignment?

[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_05]: I understand the assignment. Do you understand the assignment?

[00:00:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh absolutely, I do. I 100% do.

[00:00:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, we were just here four years ago.

[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Actually, I was thinking about the eight years ago.

[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, there's no way, but we know there was a way so it's a little different.

[00:00:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:00:40] [SPEAKER_05]: There's a way through it. By the way, this is Katie Benhoard.

[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_05]: And this is Jackie Clayton and welcome to the Inclusive AF Podcast.

[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Let me tell you how times has changed, okay?

[00:00:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Because I was just a screw. There were two Kamala Harris signs.

[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Does. And mine and I was like, you know what?

[00:01:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I really wish you would somebody take this down.

[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_05]: I swear to you.

[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, I've never seen that before.

[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_05]: And my effort those who are new to our podcasting now, I live in Wake Up Texas.

[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_05]: It's really small.

[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Everybody loves each other because everyone, you know, are children of God.

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_05]: So no one likes to say anything negative.

[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_05]: And so you usually don't see a lot of signs except for the extraneous, but now.

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Mm-hmm.

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_05]: People are like, my shirt says voting like it's a black job.

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Get out there.

[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_03]: And Jackie would all say to that is I have a few signs in my yard.

[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's very purposeful because I live in Phoenix, Arizona.

[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_03]: So we do have a lot of signs and a lot of yards that may be down a group me and vice versa.

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's okay because we're all God's children to your point.

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_03]: But also, I was the best woods.

[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Which was raised enough was your good word.

[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_03]: So I was raised in the woods.

[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_05]: So I do have one sign that is Ohio.

[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_03]: So the mean streets of toilstown, Ohio.

[00:02:17] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, I do have what it says both to make America decent, honorable and kind again.

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't understand like that is bipartisan wherever you lay.

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_05]: But you've got that thing.

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_05]: It is but it isn't like it's like, you know, normally, like people should think like it used to be like.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_05]: And I thought George Bush and seeing your Andrew and you were a lot of things.

[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_05]: But not like card hearing and hate members or stupid like I thought we disagreed.

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they had Dick Cheney for that so they didn't really need to know I'm just kidding.

[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, you really are not kidding.

[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_05]: You're really not.

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Although, although I will say this,

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I think the list of the list is as

[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Grrr.

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Her father and a like secret.

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_05]: I know.

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I kind of love he was like wouldn't that be so when Kamala had to figure out like they're running I was like.

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_05]: What if it was a Liz Cheney Kamala Harris ticket?

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_03]: That would be bananas.

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Ghosts would have come out like what it would be just like haunted man.

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_05]: It doesn't like.

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's the thing that's happening right now in Arizona.

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_03]: So we had our mayor in Mesa.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Stonch Republican.

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Very good.

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Member of the Latter Day Saints so good Mormon.

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And he just came out for Kamala and said we cannot I cannot support Trump.

[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And he, you know, had a breast briefing and announced that.

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And then he had three or four other people behind him.

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_03]: One is a very.

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Very significant member of the business community.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_03]: So like there are a lot of folks that are like yeah, we're done with this.

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_03]: This is we it's gone too far.

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think with the addition of JD like.

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't.

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know what like I don't know what to say about him at all like even

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what to say.

[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_05]: So no, I think that we know is that hate is just not sustainable.

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_05]: It's just not scalable and eventually you burn out like you can't grab that much energy.

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_05]: I hateful energy.

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_05]: You just can't know.

[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_05]: But so the JD like what is happening?

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I really honestly, I.

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what I'm saying.

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I don't know.

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I it's just.

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_03]: The weirdest stuff that is like coming out of his mouth and Trump's mouth.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_03]: And you're like wait what?

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_05]: I have everybody in the United States that could.

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm not five.

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_03]: And I don't stand what it what's going on.

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_03]: It's very weird.

[00:05:12] But.

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_05]: What's going to happen?

[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think it's obvious.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_05]: I think I think that the other part that has been like.

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_05]: You know trying to support as but like.

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_05]: The thing that threw me off was seeing Trump at the National Association of Business Journalists.

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_05]: We talked about it before like that interaction.

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Is what everything that's wrong in America right now.

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Like the ignorance, like the willful ignorance.

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_05]: The like not like the done in Kruger effect that you really think you know what you're talking about and you're inflexible.

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Like the utter disrespect in somebody else's home like.

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_05]: You know we both travel internationally you recognize you're a guest or we go to conferences.

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_05]: You're a guest to the chair right you're at this conference you were invited.

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_05]: But you're a guest and you should act as such like you have no raising.

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_03]: That's true.

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I just I want to understand the logic of what he thought he was going to get out of that that was like hey,

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_03]: you know this is a good idea because of acts or like you know I think men opened up with you know we invite a lot of politicians here,

[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_03]: you know and you know I think Kamala was on later that week virtually.

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's so interesting like what was a logic but it also you know she opens up we have you for an hour and then after you know 25 minutes it was like and we're done.

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_03]: And you wonder who was in her ear saying wrap it up we need to get him off the stage immediately like where his people like this really happening.

[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah I mean that was just freaking it looked like a 9-11 moment like remember all the clips of like.

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_05]: And then he was like oh like you knew something really bad was going on like.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Somebody is sitting in front of a room full of children yeah.

[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah so it kind of felt like.

[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_05]: He is so far off script right now that we can't trust this guy.

[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_03]: No and all three of them the woman on the very end whose name I'm not remembering right now because I don't remember anyone's name because I'm a horrible habit of not remembering names.

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_03]: The she like tried to like throw him a few lifelines and what's like blowing it up every time and you're like.

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_03]: What are you sir she's actually trying to help you not.

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Not women or because that one woman I think in my head have a lot of like I think she was like full shock like.

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_03]: What is happening right in the world at the whole thing was very it was fascinating but it was also it was such a.

[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say for me it was such a great example of how black women have to conform and still be respectful in the face of the most wild wild disrespect and.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And then they all kept their cool and you know yes they did push back on him.

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, my last day like I would say I'm taking this pin all in today's my last answer member of this organization.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_05]: And then we might have to like you know I might have to throw these hands because that was ridiculous and I've heard.

[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_03]: For them and right right that and that's it like it wasn't even a hate great that they kept their cool it was.

[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_03]: How much more this two people have to take before you're like sir you your non-sensical.

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_03]: A B your disrespectful and you're a liar you're literally sitting right here with me and you're lying while your liar pants.

[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_05]: I think like this week has been.

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_05]: And I guess we can just like shortless or short name this one like.

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Politics like where are we going because there have been some interesting things going on and regardless of you know we can look at okay come on here is is like the Obi-Wan Kenobi are only hope right go like that's the candidate.

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_05]: And then you have the 10 walls.

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Um as a vice president but you know it's got me to answer the director like okay so you love the police and like you're again owner like what is literally happening to the director like when did this become okay there is still like like other elections where it's like okay I'm still voting in this direction but.

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I got my eye on you because.

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_03]: That feels different but I will say this.

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_03]: The way he has come out like full barrel like hey not messing around and the things that you're saying is just very intelligent and in it's such a contrast to.

[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Jay advanced his first week which was like I'm sorry what did you just say sir like what's huh.

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm still.

[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_05]: And then did you hear his wife.

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_05]: The younger name is Ushah.

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Is absolutely brilliant when you hear talk and then it so looks like I have question right.

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_03]: There are so many questions.

[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't know.

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I do like him though and I do like that he is totally

[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_03]: just again coming out and saying the things that all of us want to say

[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_03]: of like this, I love that you know it's the,

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_03]: you're just being weird.

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Like that you're being,

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_03]: it like not even, hey whatever but just like

[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_03]: this doesn't make any sense.

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_03]: For sure.

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_05]: But I don't, I just think it's really interesting that

[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_05]: there was an article that came out and said

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_05]: you know you have to put what your salary is

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_05]: and they were looking at it

[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_05]: and I think Tim Walls salary,

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_05]: you know, you get like 260,000 for a vice president

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_05]: and I think their current was like a 163,000

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_05]: dollars a year compared to like, you know,

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_05]: JDVans which I still don't know what they're like

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_05]: there's a story here that we don't know about

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_05]: who's on the board of all of these different

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_05]: tech organizations and, you know,

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_05]: all of those things and they're like these aren't,

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_05]: these people are not the same.

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_03]: No, they really are not it is and I think that's a part

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_03]: that's like so

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_03]: it's, it's they're doing actually a very brilliant job

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_03]: of highlighting how very much not the same they are

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_03]: and it's working.

[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I think people are it's resonating with people like yet

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_03]: they're odd over there and we're just normal

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_03]: and we're just going to the Minnesota State Fair

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_03]: and we're trying to like make things good.

[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Like the whole, you know, the breakfast and lunch at schools

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_03]: the, you know, supplying women with feminine products

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_03]: things like that all of these things are just such positive things

[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_03]: and it's also like, well yeah, that's just

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_03]: these are all good things.

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not something that's controversial or shouldn't be controversial

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_03]: and so I did have someone like that was like,

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_03]: well I'm going to say that because it's just a long way

[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_03]: or are so often putting like tampons and pads

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_03]: into the bathrooms of high schools is,

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_03]: you know, is somehow creating or pushing folks

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_03]: to be transgender and I'm like what I'm still trying

[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_03]: to figure a piece that one together I'm not quite sure

[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_03]: how that makes sense.

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_03]: But I did, did you see that at all?

[00:13:45] Mm-hmm.

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_05]: I did not.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I see all of the topics are so weird.

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_05]: I just, you know?

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like if you've worked for an organization

[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_05]: in the CEL left and you get a new CEL

[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_05]: and they're trying to be funny

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_05]: and none of the jokes are landing

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_05]: and then you kind of feel quite like zoning.

[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, I wasn't gonna agree.

[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_05]: But I thought just like it we've seen historically

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_05]: in a lot of these, like you would have somebody

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_05]: who would make you more understand.

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you love news about LinkedIn, indeed, Google

[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_02]: and just about every other recruitment tech company out there?

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Hell yeah, I'm Chad.

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm cheese.

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_02]: We're the Chad and G's podcast.

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_02]: All the latest recruiting news and insights are on our show.

[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Dripping in Snark and Attitude.

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Subscribe today wherever you listen to your podcasts,

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_02]: we out.

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, like, never in my life did it what I have thought.

[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Wow, you know, it's previous running me

[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_05]: looks like a pretty good guy now.

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_05]: I never thought that was gonna happen.

[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Never thought you'd be like,

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_05]: you know, that Mike Pence.

[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_05]: That he knows.

[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_05]: I was never like, you know,

[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_05]: where's the guy's in Pennsylvania need him?

[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah.

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh my god.

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, I don't, but I think some of the other things

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_05]: that is interesting, especially like going back to

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_05]: the NABJ when he was going, like,

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't even know if he knew, like how offensive he was being.

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_05]: And I don't know if like JD pants knows how disrespectful

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_05]: and rude and weird he's being.

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, and that's so they had an interview

[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_03]: with his wife, like she was interviewed

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_03]: and it was like kind of like what are your thoughts on this

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_03]: when he's talking about racism and some of these other things.

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's the same thing that Melania has had to do

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_03]: and so many of these folks.

[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's not what he meant.

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, we said, but that's not what he meant.

[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And you're like, then he needs to clarify

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_03]: and be, I'm better at using his words.

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Use your words, say.

[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Your words can do it.

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_03]: You should be able to do as well.

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_05]: A lot, you know, at Yale, he knows how to use words.

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_05]: You would think he was an editor.

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_05]: He's used a couple.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_05]: But then again, it's like I wish I knew what that love would be.

[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I don't understand the situation between them.

[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, they people fall in love, they were young or whatever.

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_05]: But again, you shouldn't have to.

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_05]: It just tells you a lot about a leader.

[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_05]: If you're waiting for somebody's wife

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_05]: to try to explain the things that you were saying

[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_05]: because you can't find your words to do that,

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_05]: are you somebody that we think can run this country?

[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_03]: That's the other part that I think is funny

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_03]: is that it's the, that's not what he meant.

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And again, we've heard this about Trump as well.

[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And I mean, how many people have you been in an argument with

[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_03]: about Trump and they go, that's not what he meant.

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_03]: He said, that's not what he meant though.

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_03]: What he was saying was X, Y, and Z.

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And like, but again, you're the leader of the US

[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_03]: and you're the voice of our country.

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_03]: So if you don't have the right words,

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_03]: then should you really be speaking for us?

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_03]: All of this to say, registered about, get out, devote.

[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_05]: They're an actual devote.

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_05]: But it's like I'm not, I don't think that,

[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_05]: I believe I don't know, that last few elections

[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_05]: were unprecedented.

[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_05]: It's still unprecedented.

[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, it is like those have been the most important

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_05]: and this is someone that's the most important.

[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but I also, on that point, anyone says

[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_03]: this is a report that were unprecedented.

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I do start chuckling because of so many

[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_03]: of the people that are like, can we get back to the precedent?

[00:17:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, what's the precedent?

[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I would like to go back to the precedent.

[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, I'm kind of over this unprecedented piece,

[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_03]: which is so true.

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_03]: But okay, so can we talk about good stuff though?

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_03]: So how do you feel right now on social media?

[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_03]: How is social media for you right now?

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_05]: You're breaking up, what did you just say?

[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't know I had my social media.

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_05]: I hated to realize like how to press and sad

[00:18:28] [SPEAKER_05]: and down, trying to know it was, I don't think.

[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_05]: No, kind of like when we were like,

[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_05]: thank God when Biden was elected,

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_05]: like that we had been holding our breath for four years.

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_05]: And it kind of about the same where I didn't.

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I had already resigned to the fact that it was over.

[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_05]: I do think there's been some excitement.

[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm trying not to turn into one of those people

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_05]: that is like getting obsessed with everything

[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_05]: and trying to make sure that I balance out my intake.

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_05]: But I think I've been enjoying and seeing things

[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_05]: and I've actually have been learning.

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_05]: What about your social media?

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_03]: You know that whole term that the hope scrolling,

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_03]: like I agree with you,

[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_03]: like it's just been so much more positive.

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I will tell you threads is my new favorite thing

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_03]: because I don't know what the algorithm is that they're using

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_03]: but I am not getting the

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Wack of Do City that you get on Twitter

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_03]: or that you get on Facebook.

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_03]: So I do feel like it's still like a happy place.

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of puppies, a lot of kittens, a lot of...

[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Any other kind of...

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm a friender.

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_05]: So I mean, I think my social, even though there's still thousands of people,

[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_05]: it's just kind of balanced out.

[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_05]: If things people are being hateful,

[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_05]: not if they have a difference of opinion,

[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_05]: not everybody on both the same way.

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_05]: But I do think there is some hope scrolling

[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_05]: and I think people have been sharing it like what can be

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_05]: and seeing all the solidarity,

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_05]: there was yesterday it was like South Asian,

[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_05]: I looked at this like South Asian Nenfer Harris

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_05]: and I was like, um, a BD Wong, I don't know if anybody knows this

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_05]: but I'm totally in love with BD Wong.

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Like a good to know.

[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_05]: And he is my husband and he spoke and I was like,

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm better for Kimelab because of you BD...

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Wait does he executive producer know this,

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_03]: that you're in love with another man?

[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, he does know I'm in love with BD Wong.

[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, any care of that?

[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, okay.

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just saying as long as he's okay with it then that's fine.

[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_05]: You can stop watching of reality television

[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_05]: and we can actually watch a show with a reading one.

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, he's, he's,

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_05]: he's,

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_05]: S.V.U.

[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_05]: He's been,

[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_05]: yes, yes, but you know,

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_05]: he's done a couple of other things,

[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_05]: but yes, he's S.V.U.

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_03]: So I care that was my first introduction to him

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_03]: and I love him, yes.

[00:21:05] [SPEAKER_05]: I do think the thing that was really,

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_05]: what I didn't, what I did enjoy

[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_05]: and I hadn't been used to were

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_05]: seeing like these little fun clips

[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_05]: of like people dancing or,

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_05]: you know, happy music or different things.

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_05]: So that's made me more hopeful.

[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's the piece that like is

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_03]: so needed right now because, you know,

[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_03]: and talking to folks, oh, I did,

[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you saw this,

[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_03]: but there is a man who has predicted like

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_03]: 90% of the last 40 elections

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_03]: or however many elections over the years,

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_03]: however long since he's been doing it, I guess.

[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And he is predicting Paris.

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Is he, because I was looking for that guy,

[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_05]: couldn't remember his name?

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it was prior to

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_03]: the VP pick,

[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_03]: but he's like,

[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_03]: and he described it and I didn't get

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_03]: through the whole video, let me be clear,

[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_03]: it's very long.

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and he's gotten that equations.

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's like, yeah,

[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_03]: and then I, you know, then I did the sub particle

[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_03]: of this and that and you're like, okay,

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_03]: so can you spot where to the end?

[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_03]: So I literally stopped it sent my friend a text message

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_03]: and I'm like, so what's your answer?

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_03]: What did he say?

[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, it's come up,

[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_03]: but I'm curious to know,

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_03]: like are there factors that would change that,

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_03]: like,

[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_03]: at meaning does the VP pick change things?

[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_03]: But I also want to tell you who I'm in love with.

[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_03]: You can have BD Wong.

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I am in love with Pete footage.

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm in love with Pete footage too.

[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I just love that his,

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_03]: he is not messing around.

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_03]: He is not trying to do silly stuff

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_03]: and he's just giving answers.

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, and I was like,

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_05]: that was kind of where I knew it wouldn't happen,

[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_05]: but I was secretly hoping that comrade would pick,

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_05]: I would like, because that's the case.

[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_05]: And I have.

[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he had to pick like a mom right off the heart.

[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it like people would lose their minds

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_03]: because that word feels great.

[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_03]: And which is unfortunate that we're still at this

[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_03]: people aren't ready, but I just want him,

[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_03]: he want, I want him to be our president soon.

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think he's,

[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_05]: I think my favorite part with him

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_05]: is that he's not afraid to fight.

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, like, that's been kind of,

[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, everybody wants to win,

[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_05]: but I mean, he's won that's going into the fire

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_05]: whenever he's running out.

[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_05]: And he doesn't care.

[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, that's who you want.

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_05]: He's very like, you know, nose there,

[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_05]: what they stand for and willing to make those comments.

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_05]: And he just makes me laugh.

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_03]: That's yes, I think that's what it is

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_03]: is that like every single time he's talking,

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_03]: you're like, he's so succinct.

[00:24:07] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's not, he literally isn't trying to be like,

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_03]: snarky, but it comes across sometimes as snarky

[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_03]: because it is so like, yeah, no, that doesn't make sense.

[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And this is why it doesn't make sense.

[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And this is why Trump is wrong.

[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And you should listen to him.

[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_03]: And you're like, heck, yeah, he goes for it.

[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_05]: No, there.

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I listen.

[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_05]: The funniest thing yesterday,

[00:24:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Kamala was in, I couldn't, I don't know.

[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Detroit would.

[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I was in Detroit.

[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_05]: And all of the ladies who like make salads,

[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_05]: like you could tell all of these ladies go to pop rats

[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_05]: and salads.

[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_05]: And they were all like, hi.

[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_05]: And I was like, this is so wild to me

[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_05]: because I hear a lot of accents that is not an accent

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_05]: that I'm used to hearing that Midwest only on SNL

[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_05]: and so on.

[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_05]: So I'm listening to this voice.

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_05]: And then she's like, and at the end,

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_05]: she's like, something, whatever.

[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, she said, what is going on with your microphone?

[00:25:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Every time you start speaking highly,

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_03]: it goes like, maybe I should not speak it.

[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Is your computer, or am I turning old

[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_03]: and like it's like the, I can't hear certain.

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_05]: There is, I mean, you're the only one you set that today.

[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I have the possibility, right?

[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_03]: That is totally possible.

[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_03]: So listeners, if you heard what Jackie said,

[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_05]: well, I can change it and see maybe this will help.

[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_05]: But she would say the lady was like,

[00:25:44] [SPEAKER_05]: we're not gonna let a buck IV by surprise at it.

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_05]: And everybody was like,

[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_05]: woo, because he like graduated from Ohio State.

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Whatever, I was like, that's gotten the biggest response

[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_05]: and I was like, that wasn't mean thing to say.

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_05]: And they were going off.

[00:26:00] [SPEAKER_05]: They were all ready to mount up on that.

[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah, Michigan and Ohio State,

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_03]: like it's a thing.

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a major thing.

[00:26:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm from Texas.

[00:26:09] [SPEAKER_05]: I've never seen anything like there was gonna be a fight right there.

[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yes.

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And also like the Ohio State is like known as like the elite elite.

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I think it's also just people like hate them

[00:26:22] [SPEAKER_03]: just on principle alone.

[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_03]: But again, I'm from Ohio.

[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_03]: So I think Ohio State's great.

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_05]: So, you know, I'm from Texas.

[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_05]: So I don't, but whatever.

[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_03]: You just stick with Baylor.

[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_03]: You just stick with Baylor everything's fine.

[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Or they's totally fine.

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, right.

[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Because I'm pretty sure, you know.

[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_05]: So like I said, though, your apocalypse build.

[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, my back those bears.

[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Tomorrow, we'll be here in Phoenix.

[00:26:52] [SPEAKER_05]: And you're going?

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm going.

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a whole group of us going.

[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_03]: You're just like to sign up.

[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, I don't know.

[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm listening.

[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_05]: And Camel has been in Houston a million times.

[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_05]: And I was like, why haven't you gone?

[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Listen.

[00:27:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Next time.

[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go on the out for this.

[00:27:18] [SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be far.

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's going to be a Glendale.

[00:27:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm guessing it's going to be a Glendale.

[00:27:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And maybe it's in downtown.

[00:27:24] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, but we're actually,

[00:27:26] [SPEAKER_03]: we don't know what time yet because it's like they're still.

[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_03]: So I'm hoping it's after work, but it might be during the day

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_03]: in which case I'm sorry to my boss.

[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_05]: I hope it is during the day because you need a break.

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_03]: So I'm fine.

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Everything's fine.

[00:27:49] [SPEAKER_03]: But what else was I going to talk to you about?

[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so I did join the White Women for Camelah call.

[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, how was that?

[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Amazing.

[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_03]: And I know it's been a few weeks now.

[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_03]: So like, you know, I know everyone's talked about it to death.

[00:28:02] [SPEAKER_03]: But it was just so cool.

[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And you know, it opened up.

[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I missed the first 15 minutes and then they zoom crashed.

[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_03]: You probably heard because I had so many people on it.

[00:28:15] [SPEAKER_03]: And so when I joined, what is her name?

[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Why am I losing her name right now?

[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_03]: He is married to a soccer player.

[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Go on in Doyle.

[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, go on in Doyle.

[00:28:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Why?

[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_03]: This is my life.

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I can't remember names.

[00:28:37] [SPEAKER_03]: She was fantastic and literally like called every woman on the call out,

[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_03]: like, okay, white women, we have truly hurt black women.

[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And now it's the time to get behind them and do what they tell us to do

[00:28:50] [SPEAKER_03]: and focus on what their example is.

[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And so in like every speaker after that, it was the same thing.

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, and not in a like mean way, but just in a like, hey, you know,

[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_03]: we got this idea from black women.

[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_03]: We need to fight the way that black women have carried all of us

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_03]: for so many years and years.

[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_03]: And you know, the whole concept like you don't have to vote,

[00:29:10] [SPEAKER_03]: the same way that your husband does.

[00:29:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And you can make your own choices and make choices for yourself

[00:29:14] [SPEAKER_03]: and for your kids and just be thoughtful about all of these things.

[00:29:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's so was really cool.

[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_03]: All of the speakers were really good.

[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And pink was awesome.

[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought that they were gonna pull Taylor Swift out.

[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_03]: It's at one point.

[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I was thinking, but then pink, she was actually like in Stockholm

[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_03]: or something and like had just come off stage.

[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And then they closed with Megan Rappino and Suburd, which was really cool.

[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_03]: So and it literally what like Suburd was great because she's like,

[00:29:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm in a work environment where I am a lot of times the only white woman

[00:29:59] [SPEAKER_03]: and my peers, a lot of my peers are women of color.

[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And you know, and so I do have to like, hey, what are they wanting us

[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_03]: to do?

[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_03]: How and I am, I follow what they say

[00:30:10] [SPEAKER_03]: and I listen to what they say because they know what they're talking

[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_03]: about and this is a time when we all need to do that.

[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_03]: And we all need to listen to black women and follow their lead.

[00:30:20] [SPEAKER_05]: So I was like, hey, I was like, somebody's in.

[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm paying attention to some of these classes of what we're going through

[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_05]: because that was what, like what I got so far out of about last week

[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_05]: when they had to stop, we're looking at the Olympics.

[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a, you know, there's lots of action going on right now.

[00:30:36] [SPEAKER_05]: And when somebody was posted and were like, oh, look at women supporting

[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_05]: other women and I was like, this is our black women supporting other black

[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_05]: women.

[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_05]: It's the first black woman.

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Like this is a historic moment and you totally could walk and

[00:30:48] [SPEAKER_05]: look at all of that out there.

[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Like you didn't pay attention to just a week before of explaining what

[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_05]: this like, what the challenges and, but that's what was so nice that some

[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_05]: people did get the assignment like they understood and it wasn't to be

[00:31:04] [SPEAKER_05]: like not be able to be proud of being, it's about acknowledging, meeting

[00:31:08] [SPEAKER_05]: people where they are still being accepting of who you are but knowing

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_05]: that there's different spaces that we're going to have to look at it

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_05]: and support we are supporting a black woman getting it to the office.

[00:31:19] [SPEAKER_05]: So we already know based on the things that we've learned in all these DIV classes

[00:31:22] [SPEAKER_05]: of what is going to happen and it started from the very beginning.

[00:31:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Micro questions being disrespectful, you know, and also how come I have to

[00:31:35] [SPEAKER_05]: advocate for herself is a different than what we've seen before.

[00:31:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I put up my post on Facebook from the election

[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_05]: from four years ago that said I'm speaking and I thought, oh, it's going to

[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_05]: look so old literally yesterday.

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_05]: She's like, I'm speaking and I was like, whoa, we're still doing that.

[00:31:58] [SPEAKER_05]: And she has to advocate for herself and people and I was like, you,

[00:32:03] [SPEAKER_05]: like, I'm so glad that so many people have listened and understood

[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_05]: and looked at those things and not won't even though there are

[00:32:10] [SPEAKER_05]: definitely news places that will use it as a negative trope and oh,

[00:32:15] [SPEAKER_05]: you're so angry and you're so whatever.

[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_05]: But at least somebody knows and so it didn't feel as alone as it did in

[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_05]: the past.

[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, I didn't feel.

[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_05]: I knew that it would be tough and I felt bad that that

[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Kamala had to like volunteer and tribute as tribute in this way and we all,

[00:32:36] [SPEAKER_05]: you know, know what that means and the risk and I was happy that they did

[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_05]: that.

[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_05]: But I didn't feel the same as it did the first time Trump was running

[00:32:48] [SPEAKER_05]: and it just seemed like all these people hated black people and there

[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_05]: was no support nobody was sticking up for anybody and we had to just

[00:32:53] [SPEAKER_05]: if they're in look at it even at the beginning of like any

[00:32:56] [SPEAKER_00]: going on with my good buzzer acknowledge how much you understand the future

[00:33:01] [SPEAKER_00]: of finance.

[00:33:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jim Russo top 10 banking influencer and host of the podcast Banking

[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_00]: and now available on YouTube.

[00:33:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Right, it is weird though, Jackie, because she did just turn black according to Trump.

[00:33:42] [SPEAKER_05]: So I don't know what yeah, because she can't be both.

[00:33:47] [SPEAKER_05]: What's that was also like I

[00:33:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not racist again. I appreciate exactly.

[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, no, not.

[00:33:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Don't give me both.

[00:33:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Really?

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I don't that can't be.

[00:33:59] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's also like if you think about that statement and think about like

[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_03]: every family in the United States right now, what family isn't a multi-racial family.

[00:34:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Like in some form of fashion. Right.

[00:34:15] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's also like what you don't have anybody?

[00:34:20] [SPEAKER_05]: What's married? Anybody?

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Right anywhere at all.

[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Are you sure? Are you sure? How are you taking your DNA

[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Have you done your 23 and me? Because let me down, you honey.

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_05]: You need to. You need to.

[00:34:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I did like that.

[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I had a conversation because you know, I like to have some conversations just

[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_03]: but entertain myself.

[00:34:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And I had one of the folks that I've speaking to mentioned like, oh well,

[00:34:51] [SPEAKER_03]: China's controlling everything and blah blah blah.

[00:34:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, if, who on this planet thinks that China doesn't know every single thing about us at

[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. They know how many times a day I go to the restroom.

[00:35:03] [SPEAKER_03]: They know everything about me and I guess what I'm not that exciting.

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_03]: So I don't care. They, they do what they're doing with that.

[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm very boring. So you know, that's all.

[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Have at it, China have at it.

[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_05]: I just haven't had the Patriots too where I'm like where people are like, oh,

[00:35:18] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm American American. When I'm like show me the flag that wasn't made in China.

[00:35:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Someone like any of them. Yes exactly.

[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Like oh, I only shop at Hobby Lobby.

[00:35:28] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like you're not supporting who you think you're supporting every story is made in China.

[00:35:33] [SPEAKER_03]: No, can I can I tell you?

[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_03]: There is a podcast and I need you to know about it.

[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And I need everyone that is a listener to know about it because it's

[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_03]: breaking hilarious. And it is called, I've had it. Have you heard of this podcast?

[00:35:51] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[00:35:52] [SPEAKER_03]: What is this? Okay. It's these two women that are like southern, southern, southern to the core.

[00:35:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And you would think that they're going to be like Uber Trumpers.

[00:36:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Like the first time I was like, oh, I don't like someone like sent me a clip.

[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Like hey, listen to this and I was like, oh,

[00:36:08] [SPEAKER_03]: they're hilarious. But one of their things is that we're taking back the word Patriots.

[00:36:13] [SPEAKER_03]: So they call their listeners Patriots and Patriots.

[00:36:18] They do.

[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And then like we're taking back the flag. We're taking back the word Patriot.

[00:36:23] [SPEAKER_03]: The Democrats are Patriots. Like we are actually the ones that are being Patriots here, not the other way around.

[00:36:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And oh, they are so, so fantastic and just comical.

[00:36:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Like just they, they, one of them is an attorney, the other one I can't remember what her,

[00:36:38] [SPEAKER_03]: what she does. But again, you listen to them in the first couple minutes. You're like,

[00:36:43] [SPEAKER_03]: ooh, this is going to be like, and we love everything about Trump.

[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_03]: And then they just lay into him and it is awesome.

[00:36:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I have been lately listening to Pod Save America.

[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Pod, yes. Yes, yes, yes.

[00:37:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I've never heard of that before but they talk about politics even when we're not having elections

[00:37:07] [SPEAKER_05]: and like the marketing and things that have been really, really interesting.

[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_05]: I've been going back a couple of months just to hear because you know,

[00:37:14] [SPEAKER_05]: when I wasn't paying much attention, what was going on? It is very interesting.

[00:37:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Highly recommended as well. Awesome. Like that's I like that one. I have not, I haven't

[00:37:26] [SPEAKER_03]: listened recently. I should get back to that one. But I, um, I've been listening that

[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_03]: when I've been at the gym. So, um, I know you are on a workout extravaganza, checkleaene. Yes,

[00:37:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I am planning to do a hack marathon in October. And so I'm running every day and now

[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_05]: when I've started long days, like on Sunday, I'm right doing nine miles.

[00:37:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Wow, where am I going? Actually, Todd said he'd probably be on the bike and then, you know,

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_03]: whenever whenever I'm done just hop on. That's like, I'll follow you on my phone and to be able to

[00:38:09] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't, I don't know where to go. I don't know where to go. That's awesome. Are you feeling good?

[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm feeling really good. I, um, uh, today was a non workout day, but I've been feeling really,

[00:38:21] [SPEAKER_05]: really good to the point where I wake up in the morning and I feel like I have to run. Um,

[00:38:26] [SPEAKER_05]: and I don't like running, but I hate the way I feel if I don't run more than running. And I'm

[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_05]: still like, what are you doing? Like, I, there hasn't been a day and I asked some other people

[00:38:37] [SPEAKER_05]: to run and I was like, but how do you keep running? And I was like, do my body ever, do I ever

[00:38:43] [SPEAKER_05]: like, like, like, running or like, oh no. Like your body will always, will continuously

[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_03]: study this. I'm running. Yeah. And then at some point, your knees are going to go. It's been

[00:38:54] [SPEAKER_05]: cute, but you think you're a runner. Yeah, I think that day is coming soon. Like, it's been interesting.

[00:39:00] [SPEAKER_05]: I've been blessed when I started the journey I had really bad problems with knees. I don't have

[00:39:03] [SPEAKER_05]: problems with my knees anymore. And somehow, and I can, I'm really flexible and I'm doing really

[00:39:11] [SPEAKER_05]: well. And I'm like, but this isn't, you know, that's three to five miles. Yeah, nine miles.

[00:39:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I think my hips are going to get bananas. It's been an anus when you start doing it. So,

[00:39:23] [SPEAKER_03]: like, that's a part I, so it's been quite some time since I've been running. I am a walker.

[00:39:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And I did the breast cancer three day walk. Like, seven, two thousand eight way was a while,

[00:39:36] [SPEAKER_03]: a while ago. And it was amazing. And I trained with my old lab who was no longer with us.

[00:39:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And it was awesome. Now, you know, I'm like, how did I do that? Because going out now to walk

[00:39:49] [SPEAKER_03]: to dogs, it's so hot out that I'm like, how was I training for this? The entire, like, I don't understand.

[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_05]: But it's too hot. I didn't plan this very well. I was like, this wasn't good. I'm, you know,

[00:40:00] [SPEAKER_05]: it's not super. So I'm training through the summer. Yeah. And it's also like, sweaty, Betty out.

[00:40:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, it's gross. Absolutely disgusting. But, you know, it'd be my best.

[00:40:11] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm a walk star. I'm very proud of you. Thanks. I've been enjoying it. I really have. I'm, I'm

[00:40:16] [SPEAKER_05]: surprised now. I haven't done, like I said, I trained up to like 12 miles before actually going.

[00:40:22] [SPEAKER_05]: And so we'll see. Yeah. But I'm going to do it in San Diego. So at least there's tacos at the end,

[00:40:26] [SPEAKER_03]: no matter. Oh, wait a minute. You're doing the rock and roll? No, we're not doing the rock and roll. I'm

[00:40:31] [SPEAKER_05]: doing the, I forget, but it is. It's just, but it's around the, I think it's the Pacific something.

[00:40:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. Well, I'm just telling you if it's in San Diego, it's already for, all right. We'll get ready for a lot of

[00:40:44] [SPEAKER_05]: hills. Yeah. The Pacific Beach half marathon. Yeah. You're going to have probably have a lot of hills.

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I'm just saying, you're not going to get to experience that in Waco. It's not that bad.

[00:40:54] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like we go around the intercoast it like in a circle. You better check the elevation on that

[00:40:59] [SPEAKER_03]: system because I was like, we wanted very wet. If someone could let us know the elevation gain

[00:41:06] [SPEAKER_03]: and loss during the, what is it called the Pacific? Yeah, the Pacific. Round trip extravaganza.

[00:41:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. Pacific Beach half marathon. Well, I'm going to come to San Diego and get a sign and be like,

[00:41:21] [SPEAKER_03]: go, Jackie, go. Yeah, I'll be there and then come eat tacos. And then we'll eat tacos together.

[00:41:26] [SPEAKER_03]: It's good. It's good. All right. Jackie, what's one thing you want to make sure our listeners

[00:41:32] [SPEAKER_05]: heard during this episode? I just hope that they, but both. You know, I really want everybody to know

[00:41:40] [SPEAKER_05]: again, like every election. This stuff is really serious. And I want people to pay attention and

[00:41:48] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not going to, I of course would love people to vote for my candidate, but just to be pay attention

[00:41:54] [SPEAKER_05]: in what's going on. What's going on? I would feel better. So that's the biggest thing. What about you?

[00:42:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I think first I want to make sure that our executive producer heard about your love affair

[00:42:07] [SPEAKER_03]: with B. D. Wong. Yeah, that's my first piece. And since I'm not allowed to say the same thing that you do,

[00:42:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I will say I want everyone to register to vote. Does that count?

[00:42:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Dan vote. Yeah, but I was trying to not say the same thing you said because you know, you're always

[00:42:30] [SPEAKER_05]: trying to cop that is what you're just it's okay. It's it's very hard not to try to copy you. You're

[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_03]: very cool. Okay. I'm by the way, we need to know, listeners need to know, did you buy that that

[00:42:42] [SPEAKER_05]: cup or did you not buy that cup? I did not buy the cup. I did not buy the cup. I

[00:42:47] [SPEAKER_05]: am like I have a full addiction problem just a shopping addiction. So I'm like, I'm just not going

[00:42:52] [SPEAKER_03]: to buy stuff. I don't need well, I just tell you, I don't want you to buy it because like Stanley

[00:42:57] [SPEAKER_03]: cops are kind of passing out. Like I want you to stay cool. But it's so cute. It was super cute,

[00:43:03] [SPEAKER_03]: but we can find you a super cute one that's a Yeti, not a Stanley. Okay, that's like,

[00:43:12] [SPEAKER_03]: like well, I don't even know, like some shouldn't be against your people like that. It's really

[00:43:18] [SPEAKER_03]: well it's not really my people. They're a special subset of my people. Let's be clear.

[00:43:25] [SPEAKER_03]: But I did see a SNL skit where it had like a bunch of things that hung off your Stanley cup.

[00:43:31] [SPEAKER_03]: It was like a shock glass and thank for your cigarettes. So dumb, but anyhow, all right,

[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_05]: this is Katie Vandorn. And this is Jackie Clayton. Bye.

[00:43:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Imagine how fast we could solve the world's biggest problems if more saw startups would gain traction

[00:43:54] [SPEAKER_01]: sooner. Welcome to the Tech Out of Burner on the Mission podcast. This podcast is dedicated to sharing

[00:44:00] [SPEAKER_01]: experiences from B2B saw CEOs who are going above and beyond to deliver chains that is noticed.

[00:44:07] [SPEAKER_01]: You will hear their secrets and learn what is required to build a science business that the world

[00:44:12] [SPEAKER_01]: starts talking about and keep talking about and how to overcome the roadblocks to do so.
