Although these trends were starting prior to COVID, the pandemic did seem to bring into sharper focus for a lot of people how they want to work. Many individuals are choosing not to pursue the traditional 40-hour workweek with one employer; instead, more and more people are opting for freelancing opportunities with multiple employers.
