[00:00:30] Welcome to the WorkforceAI.News Roundup. It's Tuesday, February 25th, 2025, and I'm Mark Pfeffer.
[00:00:49] This week, big companies are investing more money into their efforts for AI adoption. That's according to research from WalkMe. Specifically, they'll spend about $5.1 million each this year, up from $2.8 million in 2023. Enterprises have also assigned more people to their efforts. Some 73% of them have six or more people responsible for driving software adoption, compared to 63% in 2024.
[00:01:19] More than three-quarters of executives, about 79%, say they'll meet those AI transformation goals, but employees see some challenges. Just 28% of workers believe they're adequately trained to do their part. Other news. A ton's been written about how AI improves efficiency, but how much it helps improve the quality of work remains open for discussion.
[00:01:44] LinkedIn found some 70% of talent acquisition pros say improved efficiency will be the main outcome of their efforts with AI. But just a third expect AI to help improve quality of hire. That could provide recruiters with an opportunity. They can focus on things AI doesn't do particularly well, like relationship building and communications.
[00:02:06] Despite all that, research by the interview management platform GoodTime said nearly all talent acquisition teams, 99% of them, used AI and automation to streamline their hiring processes. 93% will make new technology investments this year. And finally, the market for voice interfaces will grow to $69 billion through 2029. That's a CAGR of nearly 23%.
[00:02:34] The business research company expects to see advancements in natural language processing, multimodal interfaces, and voice-enabled screens during the period. Along with better voice authentication, security, education, and learning. That's the roundup for this week.
