Mark Lane is a senior strategic communications and marketing executive with more than two decades of experience leading brand storytelling, media relations, and integrated marketing campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, public-sector organizations, and mission-driven nonprofits. An Emmy Award–winning producer, Mark has built and led high-performing communications teams, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and developed national and regional campaigns that elevate brand visibility, strengthen reputation, and drive engagement across automotive, healthcare, utilities, workforce development, and community-focused organizations.
In addition to his corporate and agency leadership, Mark is the creator and host of the podcast Ghosted by the Machine, a human-centered exploration of AI, automation, and today’s evolving hiring landscape. Through candid conversations with job seekers, recruiters, and HR leaders, the show examines how technology is reshaping work and where the human element still matters most. Mark also provides end-to-end podcast development, production, and distribution services, helping brands and individuals launch polished, purpose-driven podcasts that support thought leadership, audience growth, and business objectives.
Mark is also an accomplished saxophone player and working musician. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, New Orleans Mardi Gras, and aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line, and currently performs with multiple tribute and variety groups throughout Michigan.
